Shift details:
The successful candidate will assist with a variety of activities including:
· Tracking submissions against expected deadlines and following up with submitters as needed;
· auditing forms and reports for accurate and complete documentation;
· organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files in State database systems;
· updating data files on the departments open data portal;
· quality review of letters, reports, and website pages prior to publication;
· updating information in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel tracking documents;
· reviewing emails received in centralized mailboxes; responding or rerouting as appropriate.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
· experience working with spreadsheets, tables, or similar report documentation;
· experience performing quality assurance work, such as reviewing data files, cross-checking publications for review;
· demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel;
· familiar with working with confidential documents containing sensitive data;
· demonstrated experience proofreading or preparing professional documents or
correspondence.
The preferred qualifications include:
· familiarity with NYS-specific databases and systems (e.g., Access database, SFS, ITSM, MS Teams, Cisco WebEx, and SharePoint);
· experience working with State processes and/or forms, like communications, policies and procedures, etc.;
· managing electronic tracking systems;
· knowledge creating, modifying, etc. formulas in Excel; and
· proficient at managing deadlines and program timelines.
