40hrs Travel Package
Weekly Gross Pay = $680
Local Hourly Rate (Taxable) = $17
Weekly Travel Stipend Non-Taxed- goes to the net pay = $1330 (Hotel-805 Meals-525)
Total Weekly ($1330 is not taxed)= $2010
Feels like per hour = $50.25
$2010 div 40 hours = $50.25

Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team in a school setting in Washington. The ASL Interpreter will provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring effective communication in the educational environment and supporting students' academic and social success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a variety of educational settings, including classrooms, meetings, and extracurricular activities
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers to ensure equal access to instruction and social interactions
- Interpret lessons, discussions, and instructional materials in ASL to support students' understanding and participation
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for students who use ASL
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and school personnel
- Advocate for the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing and provide support in navigating the educational system
- Stay current on best practices in ASL interpretation and educational regulations
Qualifications:
- Certification as an ASL Interpreter or Educational Interpreter
- Proficiency in American Sign Language and English
- Experience working as an ASL interpreter in a school or educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of deaf culture and communication needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and support staff
- Understanding of educational regulations related to students with disabilities
Qualified for travel rate if permanent residence is 50+ miles away
