Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room - Behavioral Health RN
RN Duties & Responsibilities:
RNs will be providing urgent and emergent care for patients experiencing acute mental health crises, including suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, acute psychosis, severe mood disorders, substance-induced psychiatric conditions, and behavioral health emergencies requiring stabilization and evaluation.
RNs will be performing comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments, crisis intervention, behavioral de-escalation, medication administration, continuous patient safety monitoring, and coordination of psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and inpatient psychiatric placements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, valid, and unrestricted CA RN license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of one (1) year recent Behavioral Health Emergency Room nursing experience in a community-based acute care hospital.
AHA BLS Certification
MAB or CPI
LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City)
Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
